Mark is CEO of Cority Software Inc., a Toronto-based, award-winning, global SaaS company. Under Mark’s leadership, Cority’s revenue has grown consistently at a compounded rate of 25%. The company has grown in employees from 29 when Mark started in 2003 to close to 400 employees today. It enjoys an industry-leading profit margin. In 2016, Cority raised capital with Norwest Venture Partners, Georgian Partners, and BMO; in 2019 Cority raised capital from software specialist Private Equity firm Thoma Bravo and with Norwest again stepping up as an investor. Mark was a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2017 and 2018. Previously, Mark was Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary and a member of the executive management team of AT&T Canada Corp. Mark is a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University, where he recently completed 10 years on the Board of Governors, including four as Chair of the Board. He received his J.D. from the University of Victoria and is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada. Mark is active in mentoring young entrepreneurs and has served on several other not for profit boards.

Ryan Magee

Chief Financial Officer

Ryan Magee is the Chief Financial Officer at Cority. Since joining Cority in 2012, he has supported Accounting and Finance department, ensuring that Cority is on solid financial ground, while building a platform for growth and expansion. In 2014 Ryan began supporting the Human Resources and Legal departments as well. Ryan also leads Cority’s Corporate Development and post-merger integration initiatives. He was pivotal in the acquisitions of regAction and IQS in early 2017. A CPA, CMA, Ryan has over a decade of experience working in the Software and Technology industries where he has helped many companies scale and grow. Ryan’s most recent position before joining Cority was Director of Finance at Redknee Inc.

Stephen Molen

Chief Revenue Officer

Stephen has held several progressively senior Sales leadership positions with Navex Global, Clinicient, and Viewpoint. Stephen was a key part of the team at Navex Global that grew the company to $200 M in revenues. Stephen’s original company, EthicsPoint, was acquired by Navex Global along with three other companies. Stephen was a key part of the team that integrated the sales teams and companies. During Stephen’s 2+ years at Viewpoint, they grew revenues from $100 M to $200 M, growing EBITDA margin from 30% to 50%. Stephen’s sales team grew net new sales bookings from $6 M to $30 M, at which point Viewpoint was acquired by strategic investor, Trimble. Stephen has worked with Private Equity firms Vista, Riverside, Catalyst, and Bain Capital and with his companies’ Boards of Directors.

Mike joined Cority in 2016 from video platform pioneer Quickplay (acquired by AT&T), where he was SVP, Product and Marketing. Upon joining as CMO, Mike built-out the Marketing and BDR teams, steering the successful re-brand from Medgate to Cority, as well as the development of Cority’s partner program. Now as CPO, Mike is responsible for Cority’s product roadmap and go-to-market strategy, overseeing the Product Management and Product Marketing teams. Prior to Quickplay, Mike spent fourteen years at the 25,000-employee telecom software leader Amdocs, where he progressed to become Division President as Head of Global Marketing. In 2008, Mike was appointed head of Amdocs’ $250 million Canadian managed services business, leading on-site and off-shore teams across sales, consulting, delivery and operations to successive years of overachievement. Mike was also a key contributor to the product roadmap and go-to-market strategy of one of Canada’s most successful software start-ups, Solect Technology Group, which was acquired by Amdocs for over $1 billion. Mike has also held product management, marketing and sales roles at Livingston International, Imperial Oil, and Sprint Canada. Mike holds a BA in Economics Summa Cum Laude and MBA from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

Atish Ghosh - CTO at Cority

Chief Technology Officer

Ghosh brings over 20 years of experience in product engineering expertise in B2B cloud-based software, products, and services to Cority. Ghosh joins from Neustar, a leading global information services provider serving more than 8000 clients worldwide, including 60 of the Fortune 100, where he was Senior Vice President of Product Engineering and led the engineering and development organization for Neustar’s broad set of Marketing, Risk, Security, and Communications solutions. Prior to Neustar, Ghosh was Senior Vice President of Global Research and Development for Ellucian, where he led the research and development organization of over 800 employees responsible for the design, development, and release of Ellucian’s broad product portfolio that served over 2,500 higher education institutions globally. Previously, he held a number of senior leadership roles at Blue Yonder, a leading supply chain software provider. Ghosh holds a BS, MS, and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with minors in Computer Science and Mathematics from Clemson University.

As Chief Customer Officer, Pablo oversees the successful delivery of Cority’s solution to our client’s around the globe. Pablo brings a decade of experience delivering enterprise solutions to top-tier clients throughout North America, Europe and APAC. Prior to joining Cority in January 2018, Pablo was the VP of Strategic Planning at NexJ Systems. Pablo has also held various Professional Services roles and always maintained an excellent track record of delivering solutions and establishing strong relationships with clients. Pablo’s experience driving operational efficiencies and leading high performing teams will help Cority through its next stage of growth. Pablo has also held research and teaching positions at the University of Toronto in the Faculty of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, the Advanced Microsystems and Nano Lab, at Queen’s University, and the Royal Military College. Pablo holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Queen’s University, and both an M.A.Sc. and MBA from the University of Toronto.

Amanda Smith is Cority’s VP, Solutions Marketing & Enablement, where she brings over 15 years of experience in cloud-based software and human/computer interaction to oversee the creation, marketing, and support of targeted industry solutions. In her role, she focuses on helping to solve EHS&Q problems and providing valuable technology solutions to Cority customers. Amanda has a degree in Industrial & Operations Engineering from University of Michigan.

Simona brings over 18 years of customer-focused experience, having had diverse leadership roles in Customer Success, Professional Services, Product Management, and Software Development that uniquely position her to understand the SaaS customer life cycle. Prior to Cority, Simona was SVP Customer Success at Varicent, after having served as the Offering Management Leader at IBM for the Varicent portfolio.

Marlene da Costa is the VP, Human Resources, where she heads the People & Culture Function for Cority across Canada, US, UK, France, Germany and Australia. In her current role, Marlene and her team manage the Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, HR Business Partnering, Organizational Development, Leadership & Development, Compensation and Employee Engagement programs. Marlene brings a decade of international Human Resources experience especially in talent acquisition, talent management and employee engagement to the role. Prior to Cority, Marlene headed the HR function for a software company in the financial services space in downtown Toronto. Marlene holds two Masters in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University and Mumbai University. Marlene is also a Certified Human Resources Leader, certified through the Human Resources Professionals Association of Canada.

John Easton

John Easton, CRSP

VP, Product Management

John Easton is Cority’s VP, Product Management. He leads the team of Product Managers whose expertise bring continuous innovation to the Cority solutions. John has built and led the Cority Product team since joining in 2010. Prior to joining Cority, John spent 14 years in the EHS field, most of those with Toyota Motor Manufacturing. He is a Safety Professional, and has a Masters degree in Industrial Hygiene, and has extensive experience in developing and managing standards and programs for industrial hygiene and safety.

VP of Marketing

DeAnn Poe is the VP of Marketing, overseeing the Growth Marketing, Brand and MarComm, and Business Development functions at Cority. She is a versatile marketer with over 20 years of experience serving in Marketing Leadership, Demand Gen and MarComm functions at software companies across a variety of verticals. With a proven track record for building efficient, data-driven marketing teams, she is passionate about proving marketing’s impact on the bottom line and empowering her teams to drive sustainable revenue for the organization. DeAnn holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California State University, San Marcos.

Carrie Young

Carrie Young

VP of Strategic Solutions

Carrie has spent her 25+ year career around EHSQ software solutions; first as a customer using software in the chemical industry, next as an implementation partner guiding customers through their software journey, and most recently within the software provider community developing market leading solutions. In each of these roles, she has led high performance teams and implemented strong organizational change techniques as the foundation for success. She brings a 360° view to her role as the VP of Strategic Solutions, helping customers identify and execute solutions that drive powerful change.

Carrie holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kansas specializing in Environmental Studies, is trained as a Six Sigma Black Belt, and is a certified Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute.

She formerly was the Vice President of Operational Excellence for a technology company, Waitr Holdings, the Vice President of Professional Services at Sphera, the Director of Professional Services at Rolls-Royce, as well as a process engineer at Vulcan Chemicals and an Environmental Consultant at Trinity Consulting.

Mike Jackson

Senior Director, International Sales

Mike Jackson is Sr. Director, International Sales. In this role he is responsible for the International Sales team, which supports all sales efforts for Europe, Latin America, Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Mike has been involved both in the sales and service ends of Cority’s business having held the roles of Director of Client Service, Account Executive and, initially, Senior Client Service Consultant. Mike has been with Cority since 2002, having joined from Mercer Consulting. At Mercer, he served in the role of Implementation Project Manager with the Benefits Administration Practice, guiding the implementation of both business processes and web-based software applications. Prior to that, he was a consultant in the Health & Group Benefits practice. Prior to employment at Mercer he held positions as a Programmer, Quality Assurance Consultant, and Technical Account Manager with various organizations.

Adrian Williams

Director, Professional Services

Adrian Williams is the Director, Professional Services at Cority. He graduated in Computing from Staffordshire University before commencing his career implementing enterprise manufacturing execution systems globally. Having an extensive corporate IT background including time with Anglo American and Michelin, he has a passion for high quality service delivery. Adrian leads the Professional Services team’s functional consulting resources and actively involves himself in project governance duties. One of his key roles at Cority has been to gather post implementation lessons learned feedback to share with the wider business to ensure continuous improvement.

Bernadette Dookram

Director, Training and Enablement

Bernadette Dookram is Cority’s Director, Training and Enablement. Having built on her experience as an Implementation Consultant, Manager and Director of Consulting Services, Bernadette is positioned perfectly to understand the needs of Cority’s dynamic client portfolio. In her role, Bernadette is directly responsible for the effective transfer of product knowledge to the various audiences. It is a critical success factor for Cority as we grow our solution footprint and scale the organization. Bernadette, with 20 years with Cority under her belt, will apply her unique experience, product knowledge and skills to lead and execute these initiatives. She contributes to the company’s mission statement by playing a key role in driving process improvements throughout the Cority organization. Prior to joining Cority, Bernadette was employed at a major natural gas company in Canada as a Business Analyst for 6 years and held positions as training developer and QA team lead for two years. Bernadette has been an employee at Cority since 2000.

Director of Software Engineering

Brian Chan is Cority’s Director, Software Engineering. Brian manages the core development operations, and he began his career at Cority in 2002 on the Helpdesk. Throughout the years, Brian has held progressive roles in the software engineering department including, Software Developer, Software Architect, Manager, Software Engineering. Brian is a graduate of the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

Ilse Palazzolo

Ilse Palazzolo

Director of Revenue Operations

Ilse Palazzolo Cority’s Director, Revenue Operation. She is responsible for supporting the revenue growth team including sales, marketing, business development and customer success, and working cross-functionally to optimize business processes. Her areas of expertise include business analytics, sales tools and technology, process automation, continuous improvement, sales enablement, and sales compensation. Ilse previously served as Director, Sales operations for Cority Enviance and has held various positions in Sales and Revenue Operations in the software industry since 2014. Ilse holds a BBA from Eastern Kentucky University and Avans Hogeschool, and an MBA from Eastern Kentucky University.

Jeff Mirrlees

Manager, Customer Support

Jeff Mirrlees is Manager, Customer Support at Cority. He leads a global team of analysts who are dedicated to providing outstanding support to Cority customers around the world. Having spent much of his career holding various support roles, Jeff is customer focused and brings a unique perspective to meet the high expectations of Cority’s clients. Prior to joining Cority in 2014, Jeff spent 20 years working at a North American natural gas company where he held progressive roles in Engineering, Operations, and IT.

Lee Estepp

Lee Estepp

Director of Engineering

Lee Estepp is the Director of Engineering where he oversees the product development and integration of the technology vision at Cority. He joined in 2018 to head up engineering, operations, and support for Cority IQS. Lee continues to lead Cority’s Quality initiatives while also directing development for the Environmental, Chemical, and Ergonomics solutions. Prior to joining Cority, he served as Senior Director in PTC’s PLM division and has more than 20 years of global enterprise software experience. Lee holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Physics and Computer Science at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota.

 

Mauri Paz

Mauri Paz

Director of Product

Mauri Paz serves as a Director of Product for the Environmental, Safety, and Chemical Management applications. With over 17 years of experience in the field of EHS and EMIS program design and implementation management, Mr. Paz has developed and implemented EMS systems, consulted for Fortune 1000 companies in matters of EHS, and implemented various EMIS platforms for several Fortune 1000 clients. He possesses an MS degree in Chemical Engineering, holds a Professional Engineer license in the State of California, a Project Management Professional (PMP), he is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and a Certified Energy Manager (CEM). Before joining Cority, Mr. Paz held an EHS Manager position at a chemical plant where he helped obtain the Cal-VPP certification status for the site.

Michael Thomas is the Director of Cority’s Project Management Office, after having served previously as the Director of Professional Services at IQS. As the Director, PMO, Michael leads a team of Project Managers that are responsible for the management and successful delivery of all engagements in Cority’s professional services project portfolio. Michael brings over two decades of project management experience to the team and has experience creating and leading a corporate PMO as well as managing other software professional services teams. Michael has a BA in Mathematics from the University of Cincinnati and a MBA from Ashland University where he was named the outstanding graduate in his class.

Todd Lunsford

Todd Lunsford

Director of Solutions Consulting

Todd Lunsford is the Director of Solutions Consulting at Cority. Todd started his career in 1998 as a Senior ERP Consultant with DXC Technology where he specialized in Change Management for large financial, supply chain, and human resources projects. While at DXC, he began a partnership with a top EHSQ Software Vendor in 2001 to assist them with the development of a professional services practice. As a Principal Consultant, he designed a QHSE system methodology and led several implementations of enterprise QHSE systems for global, asset-intensive companies. As Director of Solution Engineering, Todd led a team of operational risk and safety subject matter experts to accelerate net license revenue and increase customer success. Todd has also served as a Program Advisor to some of the world’s largest companies to improve management system execution through benchmarking and business process improvements. In his current role, Todd leads a team of Solution Consultants to scope, estimate, and plan implementations – ensuring each customer is setup for a successful journey with Cority.

Senior Director, Strategic Solutions

Will Reed has provided advisory services in environmental, health, safety, and quality (EHSQ) information management with leading global software providers and consulting organizations since 1997. As Senior Director, Strategic Solutions at Cority, Will assists our enterprise clients with corporate sustainability initiatives, EHSQ data management programs, and designing solutions that incorporate evergreen regulatory content and audit processes. Prior to joining Cority, Will was a Partner at ERM, where he developed project business cases, strategy assessments, and long-term management plans for corporate EHSQ programs, as well as creating and executing comprehensive implementation plans for enterprise management information systems in oil & gas, chemical, energy-centric manufacturing industry sectors. Will obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Missouri University of Science & Technology.

Chris Slaugh

Director, Customer Support

Chris Slaugh is Cority’s Director, Customer Support. In this role, he is responsible for leading our global customer support division and driving best-in-class customer support experiences. Prior to joining Cority, Chris has held several senior leadership roles in various support organizations including, Director, Support Operations for Cornerstone OnDemand, and Vice President of Client Response Services at Goldman Sachs. In addition to these roles, Chris brings over 15 years of IT and Customer support experience and has dedicated his career to providing his customers the best support experience possible. Chris holds an MBA from the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business.

Rob Michayluk

Sr Director, Cloud and Security

Rob Michayluk is Sr Director, Cloud and Security at Cority, and is responsible for the DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Security and Internal Application teams within the organization. Rob joins from LoyaltyOne, who own and operate the AIR MILES Reward Program, where he led the DevOps and Cloud Operations practices. Rob has over 20 years experience working and leading teams across multiple IT disciplines within a variety of industry verticals.

Brad Totten

Senior Sales Director

As Senior Sales Director, Brad is responsible for leading and developing a team of sales professionals focused on one thing: providing the best possible commercial experience to Cority’s prospective customers. A 25 year veteran of Enterprise Sales, Brad prides himself on leaving no stone unturned when it comes to our clients understanding of the entire sales process from the first point of contact to the launch of a successful program and beyond. Brad is passionate about the environment and helping organizations maintain safe and healthy workplaces and sustain the communities in which they operate. Outside of work, you can find Brad on the golf course or running along the Toronto Beaches and spending time outdoors with his wife and two children.

Jesse Miller

Senior Sales Director

Jesse Miller is the leader of Customer Sales for Cority, working closely with our customer success and product management teams to support the adoption and use of our solutions. Jesse is an avid scuba diver and underwater photographer, which drives his passion to help our customers create a healthy and more sustainable future. Throughout his career he has held progressively senior leadership positions helping software companies scale by investing in the people and processes that lead to success. As a leader with Dexter and Chaney, Viewpoint, and Rhumbix, Jesse helped construction companies through a digital transformation of their business to create efficiency, and reduce risk. He was an integral part of the team at Viewpoint that grew the company from $25M to $200M in annual revenue, which resulted in an acquisition by Trimble Inc (TRMB). During Jesse’s 15 year sales career, he has helped software companies with numerous M&A activity, scaling, and organizational change. Jesse holds a Masters degree in Communication and Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University, with minors in Applied Finance and Marketing.

Josh Chud

Josh Chud

General Counsel

Josh Chud is Cority’s General Counsel and is responsible for the legal function for the organization. Josh joined Cority in 2021.

Josh’s broad range of experience includes commercial matters, contract negotiations, data privacy, compliance, and M&A, all with a focus on practical legal solutions and effective collaboration with business partners. Prior to joining Cority Josh held senior legal roles with an international FinTech company and a large Canadian waste and environmental services company. He also previously practiced with a large corporate law firm in Toronto.

Josh holds a JD from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and a BMath in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo.

Paul Zuber

Paul Zuber

Paul Zuber is an Operating Partner at Thoma Bravo. He brings 25 years of experience in founding and growing successful global technology companies. Paul currently serves as Chairman at Elemica, Inc., Continuum Managed Services, and MeridianLink, and holds Board positions at Dynatrace, LogRhythm, Inc., MedeAnalytics, Inc., Imprivata, Inc., Kofax, Empirix, Barracuda Networks, Inc., Frontline Education, and ABC Financial. He is a former board member of Telestream, Keynote, PowerPlan, Mediware, Landesk/Ivanti, Embarcadero, GHX, and SRS Software LLC.

Hudson Smith

Hudson Smith

Hudson Smith has been a Partner at Thoma Bravo since 2016. Based in San Francisco, he is responsible for finding and executing new deals and monitoring and growing the portfolio as an active board member for the firm’s Discover funds, which focus on investing in mid-sized and smaller software and technology companies. Prior to joining Thoma Bravo, he served as Managing Director of HGGC, where he led software and technology investments. Previously, he worked at Bain & Company in Dallas and Sidney and Lincoln International in Chicago. Hudson earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BS degree in Business Administration, magna cum laude, from Washington and Lee University.

Matt LoSardo

Matt LoSardo is a Vice President at Thoma Bravo. Based in San Francisco, he joined the firm in 2016. Previously Matt worked in private equity at Harvest Partners and investment banking at Morgan Stanley. He holds a BS degree in Economics from Duke University.

Nicolaas Vlok

Nicolaas Vlok is an Operating Partner at Thoma Bravo. He brings more than 20 years of experience leading high-growth, publicly traded, and PE-backed software and data businesses, by driving market expansion, revenue growth, product innovation, and operational excellence. As a transformational leader, he executed multiple growth strategies that transformed companies into clear market leaders, which included integrating multiple acquisitions accelerating growth. He holds board positions at ABC Fitness, Centrify, Cority, MailGun, and MeridianLink, all industry leading software companies. He is a former board member of Vision Solutions and Idaptive.

Nicolaas is also the President and CEO of MeridianLink, and the former President and CEO of Vision Solutions, which was a Thoma Bravo portfolio company, and subsequently sold to Clearlake Capital. Prior to Vision Solutions, he was the Co-Founder and CEO of IDION Technology Holdings, a publicly traded company on the JSE in South Africa.

Nicolaas was born and raised in South Africa, and studied Computer Engineering at the University of Pretoria. In 2000, he moved to the US to lead IDION’s growth in North America. He is married to the love of his life, and together they are raising their three sons in Southern California.

Rob focuses on growth equity and buyout investments in software and the consumer/retail industry. Ran was previously involved with Norwest’s investments in 1010data (acquired by Advance), Rainmaker – Multifamily (acquired by RealPage), and The Retail Equation (acquired by Appriss).

Ran holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical and computer engineering from Cornell University. Ran is also a CFA charterholder.
