Cority Client United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Wins 2018 HSE Innovation Award

Independent research firm Verdantix recognizes UNHCR for best-in-class vaccination program

Toronto, ON – March 14, 2018 – Cority is proud to congratulate its client, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for receiving the 2018 HSE Innovation Award at the Verdantix HSE Summit. The prestigious award recognizes organizations for their use of innovative technology to deliver superior HSE results.

UNHCR was unanimously selected as the HSE Innovation winner in the public sector and NGO category by a panel of four independent judges for the organization’s development of a best-in-class occupational health management system and vaccination program.

“We’re delighted UNHCR has been recognized for its innovation and HSE achievements,” said Mark Wallace, President and CEO, Cority. “UNHCR’s mission is to find safe refuge for people who have fled violence, persecution, war or disaster, all the while ensuring safety and health for its heroic employees. I am so proud that Cority has been of some small assistance to this wonderful organization.”

UNHCR implemented Cority’s industry-leading Occupational Health solution in 2014 to replace the organization’s paper-based system – which was challenging to manage and ensure employee health records were always up to date. Partnering with Cority enabled UNHCR to streamline how health records are managed and provide better visibility into the organization’s overall health status. Leveraging Cority’s Travel Module helps the UNHCR team be more efficient at managing traveling employees’ health and ensure that employees are medically-prepared for travel and fit to work. UNHCR can now create meaningful reports and identify areas for continuous improvement, resulting in a 20% increase in employees protected against vaccine-preventable diseases.
