Volvo Cars Wins 2020 Operational Excellence Innovation Award

Volvo Cars Return to Work program recognized by independent research firm for its use of innovative technology to enhance operational excellence

Toronto, ON – March 13, 2020 – Cority, the most trusted provider of environmental, health, safety, and quality software, is proud to congratulate its client, Volvo Cars, for receiving the 2020 Operational Excellence Innovation award at the Verdantix Summit in London. The prestigious awards recognize organizations that have implemented technologies which enhance Operational Excellence strategies.

Volvo Cars was selected as the winner in the Manufacturing category by a panel of independent judges, including the Global Manager, Drilling Performance and Maintenance Optimization at Cameron, a Schlumberger Company and the Head of Business Transformation at Veolia.

“We’re delighted Volvo Cars has been recognized for its best-in-class Return to Work Program and exceptional results,” said Mark Wallace, President and CEO, Cority. “The organization now has a modern, intuitive, and GDPR compliant system to capture, track, and report on case management, workers’ compensation, and rehabilitation data – providing a single source of truth for employee health across operations.”

Volvo Cars partnered with Cority to consolidate the five separate systems the organization was using to manage its global Rehabilitation and Return to Work program and harmonize complex workflows across a single, unified platform. By implementing Cority’s industry-leading Occupational Health solution, Volvo Cars realized significant operational efficiencies by eliminating siloed information, gained reliable and scalable employee health reporting and analytics, and drastically increased user adoption to more than 3,500 managers leveraging the Cority platform to manage the end-to-end return to work process.

“With a myriad of phenomenal nominations this year, Volvo Cars stood out for its innovative use of the Cority platform to revamp and digitally transform its Return to Work program, drive operational excellence, and deliver business value to the organization,” said David Metcalfe, CEO, Verdantix. “By showcasing successful implementations like this, it allows other organisations to enhance their own operational excellence performance and supports the industry efforts to reduce workplace injuries.”
