Cority Announces Winners of 2017 EHS Awards

Global EHSQ software provider recognizes BHP, NASA, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, Dow Chemical Company, and other industry leaders for exceptional EHS achievements at annual conference

The awards recognize leading organizations and EHS professionals who have made significant improvements to employee health and safety by leveraging the Cority platform.

EHS Impact Award

The EHS Impact Award honors a company that has had a positive impact on the wellbeing of its employees by embracing health and safety as a central priority:

BHP – To ensure and improve the health and safety of its mining operations workforce, BHP partnered with Cority to standardize its EHS processes, generate consistent reports for medical health surveillance and industrial hygiene, and roll out a successful hearing protection fit testing program across all its sites. 

EHS Excellence Awards

The three EHS Excellence Awards celebrate companies that have demonstrated a strong commitment to championing workplace health and safety and are commended for excellent EHS programs:

Raytheon – Leveraging reliable data from the Cority platform to identify trends, reduce risk and develop innovative injury reduction programs, Raytheon’s recordable injury rate has decreased over 30% since using Cority.

Logan Aluminum – With an average 99.8% participation rate in the company’s health and wellness program, Logan Aluminum has consistently improved employee health and renewed its healthcare coverage at half or lower than the national inflation rate since 2003.

NASA – After streamlining its medical clinic scheduling, NASA was selected as a Beta customer of Cority’s new Appointments module. The valuable feedback provided by NASA during testing ultimately shaped the future of the Cority platform and in turn helps the global Cority user community.

EHS Expert Awards

The EHS Expert Awards are given to organizations who have demonstrated mastery in their field and were selected to share their success and expertise with the hundreds of attendees at Cority Connect 2017:

Central Arizona Project – Recognized as an EHS Expert for providing excellent reporting to the Central Arizona Project community and streamlining complex processes.

Dow Chemical Company – Honored as an EHS Expert for successfully merging the company’s global corporate standards with local regulatory requirements.

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada – Recognized as an EHS Expert for its application of Cority’s Advanced Dashboards, including data collection analysis and key performance indicator tracking.

Marathon Petroleum Corporation – Recognized as an EHS Expert for developing a mobile solution for recording industrial hygiene air monitoring data.

Sobey’s – Honored as an EHS Expert for leveraging business rules to standardize processes across the company, including reporting and case closure.

NOVA Chemicals – Recognized as an EHS Expert for transforming NOVA Chemicals’ health center by going paperless.
