John Easton, CRSP
VP, Product Management
John been in the Health & Safety field since 1996. He holds a Master of Health Science (Industrial Hygiene) from the University of Toronto and is a Safety Professional (CRSP). Prior to joining Cority, John worked for 12 years at Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Health & Safety. He has extensive experience in developing and managing standards and programs for Industrial Hygiene and Safety. While at Toyota, John led the project to develop the ISO-based Toyota Safety Management System. John joined Cority in 2010 and began building our market-leading Safety product, which was released in 2011. He now leads the Product Management team of Product Managers, UX Designers, and Documentation Managers who are responsible to continually refine and evolve our SaaS solution.
Laura Surowiec, MPH, CSP
Laura joined the Product Team as Product Manager of Safety after working as a Professional Services consultant and manager with Cority since 2013. Laura completed her undergrad at Indiana University Bloomington, where she received a BA in Biology. She went on to complete a Masters in Occupational Health and Safety Management at Tulane University and is also a Certified Safety Professional. Prior to Joining Cority – she was responsible for managing the EHS programs for both government and private industry.
Melissa Kephart, CSP
Product Manager, Safety
Melissa Kephart is the Product Manager for Safety at Cority. She also has several years’ experience implementing Cority for Safety and Industrial Hygiene clients. Prior to working with Cority, Melissa was a management consultant providing safety and industrial hygiene expertise to senior-level government managers. Melissa has extensive experience in custom OHS software development, agency-level safety program management, and Voluntary Protection Programs.
Melissa earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Resources Management from Penn State University and a Master of Science in Industrial Hygiene from West Virginia University.
Monica Melkonian, MS, CIH
Product Manager, Industrial Hygiene
Monica Melkonian serves as Industrial Hygiene Product Manager at Cority providing technical expertise, guidance and support in the development of Cority’s Industrial Hygiene Suite. Previously, Monica served as Senior Client Service Consultant with Cority providing implementation and sustain support to global clients. Monica has worked in the environmental and occupational health field for over 15 years in both the public and private sector, across a broad range of industries. Prior to Cority, Monica’s experience included work with the California Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and work as a private industry consultant. Monica’s broad experience in the occupational health and safety field enables her to bring a deep understanding of the needs of Cority clients.
Monica received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Environmental and Occupational Health from California State University, Northridge. She is a Certified Industrial Hygienist by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene. Ms. Melkonian is an active member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association and serves on the AIHA Computer Application Committee.
Bill Walters, RN
Senior Client Service Consultant
Bill Walters has been a Senior Application Consultant at Cority since 2002. Previous to Cority, Bill worked at Miller Brewing Company where he was an Occupational Health nurse for 18 years.
Cyraj Elbakoush, MS, CIH, CSP
Manager Professional Services
Cyraj Elbakoush is a Manager of the Professional Services department with Cority, where he joined the team in 2015. Previous to his work with Cority, he worked as an Industrial Hygienist for the US Department of Health and Human Services, the US Air Force, and in the oil and gas industry. Cyraj is an active member of his local chapter of the AIHA, having served as Director from 2013-2016.
Cyraj earned a master’s degree in Industrial Hygiene and Environmental Health Sciences from the University of Oklahoma and holds credentials as a Certified Industrial Hygienist and Certified Safety Professional.
Shannon Crinklaw, CRSP, CHRL
Manager, Professional Services
Shannon Crinklaw is a Professional Services Manager with Cority providing implementation and sustain services for Cority clients globally. Shannon has worked in the safety and environmental field for over 10 years mostly in the private sector within manufacturing environments.
Shannon received a Business degree specializing in Human Resources from the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario. She furthered her specialization in safety by receiving a post grad certificate from Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario. She currently holds 2 certifications as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional and Canadian Human Resource Leader.
Shannon provides consultation to clients in the areas of implementation planning, work process review, training and sustain support. Prior to Cority, Shannon’s experience included work with recognized safety leaders within the automotive industry where she was involved in various aspects of developing and executing Safety programs and involvement in the ISO 14001 certification. Shannon’s broad experience in the occupational health and safety field enables her to bring a deep understanding of the needs of Cority clients.
Mauri Paz, PE, PMP, CEM
Director of Product, EHSQ & Mobility
Mauri Paz is Cority’s EHS Products Manager. With over 14 years of experience in the field of EHS and EMIS software design and implementation management, Mauri has developed and implemented EMS systems, consulted for Fortune 1000 companies in matters of EHS, and implemented over six different EMIS platforms for several Fortune 1000 clients. He possesses a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from UCI, holds a Professional Engineer license in the State of California, a Project Management Professional certification from PMI, and is a Certified Energy Manager.
Meghan Cairns joined Cority as a Client Service Consultant in June 2013 and moved to the Client Success Team as a Client Success Manager in 2014. She provides client services such as implementation planning, work process review and training. As part of the Success Team she works diligently to ensure existing Cority clients are supported with top customer service to ensure effective and efficient use of the Cority application.
Prior to joining Cority, Meghan worked for 5 years as an Environmental Coordinator and 8 years as Industrial Hygiene Coordinator and at a major global gold mining company. She worked to develop a comprehensive Industrial Hygiene program at the site and implemented all aspects of the program.
Meghan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and is a Registered Occupational Hygienist by the Canadian Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists. Meghan is a member of the Occupational Hygiene Association of Ontario.
Tanya Jenke is the General Manager for Cority Australia. In this role, Tanya manages and supports Cority’s Australian customers. She is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), a Charted Professional Member of the Safety Institute of Australia (CMPSIA), holds a Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety (DOHS) and is currently pursuing her Ph.D in Occupational Health and Safety. Tanya has 15+ years of experience in the occupational health and environmental safety field, specializing in Industrial Hygiene. Prior to joining Cority, Tanya worked as a chemical analyst in a university research facility to design sampling protocols for both government and industry groups.
Sean Baldry is a Product Marketing Manager responsible for Cority’s Health and Safety solutions. Sean has over 15 years of experience working in occupational health and safety in the construction, mining, and manufacturing industries. Prior to joining Cority, Sean was the Director of Health and Safety for LafargeHolcim’s Eastern Canada Division. Sean is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP).
