Perth, Australia – 8th July 2019 – Cority, the most trusted provider of environmental, health, safety, and quality (EHSQ) software, today announced significant enhancements to its industry leading Occupational Hygiene solution to help organisations in Australia ensure regulatory compliance, improve sampling accuracy, and streamline exposure reporting and analysis.
Expanded Exposure Group Reporting
Cority’s new functionality enables organisations with mining operations to meet the requirements of the Western Australian Government’s Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety, by calculating SEG exposures to the 95th percentile. By simply inputting sample results, Cority automatically assesses if SEG exposures are compliant, providing occupational hygiene departments with critical insights to assess control effectiveness, mitigate risk, and ensure the health and safety of workers.
Automatic Occupational Exposure Limit (OEL) Adjustment based on Quebec Model
As working conditions change across industries and extended shifts lasting beyond eight hours become more common, there is increased uncertainty around acceptable exposure limits. To reduce complexity, the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists (AIOH) recommends moving to the Quebec Model for exposure standard adjustment. To support this, Cority now automatically adjusts OELs based on the Quebec Model, to improve data accuracy, sampling results, and ensure the protection of workers during extended shifts.
“The Cority platform is now in use in 100 countries and we continue to evolve our solution so our clients can support growing compliance requirements on a global scale,” said John Easton, VP Product Management, Cority. “These latest enhancements ensure our Australian clients can continue to drive sampling accuracy, proactively mitigate exposure risk, and maintain compliance.”
