Cority CEO Mark Wallace Named EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2018 Finalist

Prestigious award recognizes the contribution of entrepreneurs who inspire others with their vision, leadership, and achievement

Toronto, Ontario – July 19, 2018 – Cority, the most trusted Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality (EHSQ) software for assuring client success, today announced that President and CEO Mark Wallace has been named a finalist in the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards program in Ontario for the second consecutive year. The award recognizes entrepreneurs who drive growth, live outside the box and disrupt with purpose.

Forty-six finalists across nine categories were chosen for this year’s award. The finalists were selected by a panel of independent judges for their entrepreneurial spirit, unyielding high standards and commitment to purpose-driven leadership.

“I’m honored to be selected as an Entrepreneur Of The Year finalist again,” said Mark Wallace. “This recognition from EY is a testament to Cority’s commitment to innovation, our exceptional employees, and our partnership with clients as they drive sustainability, health and safety in the workplace.”

Since joining Cority in 2003, Mark has transformed the company from an occupational health software provider with 29 employees to the industry-leading EHSQ SaaS company with 350 employees, serving over 800 global clients including Airbus, the United Nations, Westmoreland Coal, NASA, Toyota, and Dow Chemical.

This past year the company achieved record results with each of revenue, recurring revenue and profit increases in excess of 30%, contributing to a 5-year compound annual growth rate of 30%.

Mark finds time to give back to the community, including as a mentor to early stage entrepreneurs at Creative Destruction Lab, Atlantic, and by establishing an internship program for student entrepreneurs at St. Francis Xavier University where Mark served for 10 years on the university’s Board of Governors, including four years as Board Chair.

For 25 years, the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards program has recognized the achievements of Canada’s entrepreneurial trailblazers – recognizing more than 3,800 finalists and presenting more than 1,000 awards to inspiring Canadian entrepreneurs.
